Privacy Policy
FileSizeFix helps prepare images, PDFs and Office files for upload limits. This policy describes processing on the website, in the browser tools and in the native iOS and Android apps.

Controller
The controller is Deep Platforms GmbH, Eschenrieder Str. 24, 82194 Gröbenzell, Germany, email: support@filesizefix.com.
Local File Processing
The core features process selected files locally on your device. Images are compressed or converted into PDFs, PDF sizes are checked, and PDF, DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files are optimized in the browser. File contents, file names and source files are not sent to our servers.
Native Apps
The iOS app uses Apple's photo picker and the Android app uses the system file picker so you can select an image. Compression then runs on the device; output files are shared or saved locally. The apps use no accounts, no payment feature, no camera, microphone or location feature, and they do not send analytics data to our server.
Website, Hosting and Security
When you open the website, the web server processes technically necessary request information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser/device information, referrer and host name to deliver pages, prevent abuse and investigate errors. Production may serve static files through nginx/Caddy or a Node server; file uploads are not part of the core tools.
Usage Events
The web app may send small same-origin events to /api/render-event when a page loads or a tool is used. This product analytics is used for stability, error diagnosis and product improvement.
- Event type, brand, path and page title
- Tool kind, tool slug, target KB and optional requested dimensions
- File/MIME type, input and output byte size, output dimensions, duration, status and error code
- No source files, no file names, no accounts, no payment data and no stored IP addresses in the analytics log
Language Storage, Cookies and Ads
The language choice may be stored locally in the browser as fsf_locale; when you choose a language manually, a SameSite=Lax cookie named fsf_locale is also set for up to one year. Google AdSense may be embedded with publisher ID ca-pub-8832594316878438 for site ownership verification and, when slot IDs are configured, to deliver ads; Google may process its own data under its terms. Without configured slot IDs, no ad placements are emitted.
Google Analytics, AdSense and Cookie Consent
Google Analytics 4 (G-L87FDVG7J0) and Google AdSense (ca-pub-8832594316878438) are integrated with Google Consent Mode. Analytics and ads storage are disabled by default; analytics storage is enabled only after cookie-banner consent. Google may process technical usage data such as device/browser information, referrer, pages, timestamps and a shortened or otherwise processed IP address, and may transfer data to third countries. Your choice is stored locally under fsf_cookie_consent and can be changed in the footer.
Legal Bases, Recipients and Retention
Legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for requested app functions, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for delivery, security, abuse prevention and product analytics, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for legal obligations. Recipients may include hosting, infrastructure and maintenance providers. Server and analytics logs are kept only as long as needed for operation, security, troubleshooting and legal proof.
Your Rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Send requests to support@filesizefix.com.
