What FileSizeFix is

FileSizeFix is a collection of free file tools for the browser plus native apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. The tools compress images, photos, videos, PDFs and Office documents, convert media formats, build ZIP archives and prepare passport photos or application documents for strict portal limits.

Everything is built around one everyday problem: an online form rejects your file because it is too large, in the wrong format or has the wrong dimensions. FileSizeFix turns that rejection into an accepted upload in under a minute.

Files stay on your device

The web tools run entirely in your browser. Compression, conversion and PDF processing use browser engines and WebAssembly on your own hardware; the selected files, their names and their contents are not uploaded to our servers.

That design is deliberate. Job applications, ID photos, contracts and medical letters are exactly the kind of files people need to shrink - and exactly the kind of files that should not travel to an unknown server just to lose a few hundred kilobytes.

Who is behind it

FileSizeFix is developed by Deep Platforms GmbH, a software company based in 82194 Gröbenzell, Germany, founded and run by Blagovest Ouglechov. The company builds and operates the website, the iOS app and the Android app itself - development, infrastructure and support come from one small team.

How the free tools are funded

The website and apps are free and do not require an account. We fund the work through advertising on the website and in the apps, plus an optional Pro subscription in the mobile apps that removes ads. Ads never change what the tools do: processing stays local, results stay full quality, and there are no artificial limits to push you into paying.

Accuracy of our guides

Platform limits such as email attachment sizes or portal upload rules change over time. We review the numbers in our guides against official documentation and update the pages when providers change their limits. If you spot something outdated, email support@filesizefix.com - corrections ship quickly.
